19 Feb EXCITING EVENTS COMING UP THIS SPRING!
This year got off to a colourful start with club members gathering to celebrate Ludlow Parkrun’s 9th birthday. It was great to see Peter Cartwright, the man who started it all, on the finish funnel.

BUILD UP TO 10K CHALLENGE
A chance for anyone struggling to run more than once a week, or stuck on runs of 5-6km, to build up their running and aim to complete a 10km challenge. This might be taking part in one of our club 10k races this year or a club organised 10km run in the summer. Get in touch to find out how this programme works.
MARCH CLUB RACES
Our club race programme kicks off on Sunday 2nd March as club members tackle the Bishops Castle Trail 10km. Then the end of the month sees the first road 10k at Welshpool on Sunday 23rd. Our club races form part of the Club Championships for more competitive club members. Find out more about our club races here.
‘HOW TRAINING WORKS ‘ TALK Thursday 27th March after training
The first of a series of special presentations and question and answer sessions led by club coach Colin Lancaster. Find out how to harness your amazing body’s power of recovery to get fitter and run faster. Learn how to train towards your race goals whatever they may be. Perhaps you want to make 2025 the year you smash your PB’s or you want to tackle your first half or full marathon. You may just want to know how to get fitter and be able to run a bit faster.
EASTER TREASURE HUNT RUN Thursday 17th April
Work is well underway preparing the fun and frolics for a team treasure hunt around town. Follow the clues, collect the answers and be the first team back to base. There’s sure to be chocolate involved!
TIMELESS 5K Thursday 24th April
Our popular ‘naked’ running event returns but do keep your clothes on for this! By naked we mean run without your watch, phone or any gismo recording your time. Before you start, predict your finishing time and the runner who is closest at the end (whether faster or slower) wins. It’s good fun and come along to Ludlow Brewery aferwards for the results and presentation.
