We love racing! We’re actively involved in organising and supporting the following local races:
The Hereford and Borders Winter Cross Country League races take place between October and February. There are five races, all about 6 miles.
Here is the programme for the Autumn/Winter League in 2025/26.
Taking part in these events is a chance for club members to get together en masse, enjoy a half or full day out and wear the blue, yellow and gold with pride! Look out for club emails with more details of each event nearer the date.
For competitive club members these races form the Club Championships. How that works is explained below.

Club Championships Criteria
There are four races in the Hereford and Borders Summer Cross Country League. They take place on Wednesday evenings (7.30pm start) during June and July. The races are around 4.5 to 5 miles and are perfect or anyone wanting to have a go at off road running for the first time.
The Mortimer Forest Trail Race is back for 2025 on Sunday 14th December.
It is a 10 mile-ish multi terrain race set in the beautiful Mortimer Forest on the Herefordshire/Shropshire border. A challenging course held in the depths of winter, including the infamous Big Dippers and a stiff climb up to the top of High, Vinnalls where you are treated to a wonderful downhill finish, with views across the Welsh Marches, as far as the Malvern Hills and Brecon Beacons. Expect mud, hills and wonderful trails.
A shorter 4 mile course omits the Big Dippers and sticks to larger tracks, but still includes a trip up High Vinnalls with its far reaching views and a cracking descent.
11:00 start for 10 mile and 11:15 start for 4 mile. The course will be marshalled and signed.
