Short Course – 6km/140m elevation.

Climbing Jack Common and Mary Knoll Valley. Entry £12/£15 on the day 

Long Course – 13km/470m elevation.

Climbing Jack Common, High Vinnals, Lower Evens and Mary Knoll Valley.

Parking, toilets, registration at Moor Park School, Ludlow SY8 4DZ.

 

Ludlow Sprint Triathlon

THE ORGANISERS OF THIS EVENT HAVE ALSO TAKEN THE DECISION TO CANCEL IT FOR THIS YEAR

 

A partnership between local volunteer groups, Ludlow Runners, Ludlow Cycling Club and Teme Leisure, the Ludlow Sprint Triathlon has been going since 1996.  It is held at Ludlow Leisure Centre, situated at the northern edge of town,  just off the A49 and along side Ludlow Secondary School.  The swim takes place in the 25-metre pool in the Leisure Centre, with Transition situated to the rear of the building. The cycle goes through part of the town, out onto country roads before returning to the centre on the A49. The run is an out and back course on the footpath alongside the A49 to the north of Ludlow.

Cross Country League

Winter Cross Country League

The Herefordshire & Borders Winter Cross Country League takes place between October and February. There are five races, all about 6 miles. They take place on Sunday mornings with an 11am start. Ludlow Runners consistently win in age categories, and have held the title of overall champion since the 2019/2020 season.

 

Here are the race dates and venues for 2023:

15th October Fforest Fields (between Knigton and builth Wells)
12th November Bearwood (near Leominster)
3rd December venue tbc
14th January venue tbc
26th February Grafton Farm, Bockleton, Tenbury Wells 

 

Summer Cross Country League

There are four races in the Summer Herefordshire & Borders Cross Country League. They take place on four Wednesday evenings (7.30pm start) during June and July. The races are around 4.5 to 5 miles and are perfect or anyone wanting to have a go at off road running for the first time.

05 – any Ludlow parkrun in May 
07/06 – final race in Hereford Couriers XC series

28/08 – Leominster 10k

17/09 – Worcester City Runs, 10k or half marathon
28/10 – tbc
11 – TBC


Criteria

  • You must be a member of Ludlow Runners.
  • There will be 10 races of which you must complete at least 6 to be included in the championship.
  • Your best 6 races, scored against other Ludlow Runners in the race, will count.
  • You must run in a club vest.
  • You must enter the race as a “Ludlow Runner” as we will use this to find you in the race results.
  • There will be awards for overall male and female winners and various male and female age categories.
  • Anyone completing all the races will receive a prize.
  • Awards will be presented at the Christmas Party.
