25 Feb LUDLOW RUNNERS OUT AND ABOUT
With Spring on the way, and a hint of better weather to come, club members could be spotted at a variety of events over the weekend.

Jess Morris, Claire Bloom and Jackie Derricutt headed over to Wolverhampton to take part in the parkrun in West Park. It was Jackie’s 25th parkrun so a huge well done to her but that’s not why they were wearing tutus. To give you a clue, it’s something to do with the date last Saturday! No more hints needed.
A club parkrun trip to West Park is definitely on the cards in the next month or two so watch this space. It’s flat, fast and also picturesque!

As a parkrun tourist, you never know who you are going to meet at 9am on a Saturday morning! While tutus were on display in Wolverhampton, four Ludlow Runners ‘popped out of the blue’ at Ashton Court parkrun in Bristol. Steve and Caroline Adams met our parkrun superstars Peter and Tina Cartwright. Looks like they all enjoyed the views and the hill they had to climb to see them!
As much as we love parkrun, Ludlow Runners could be found at other events last weekend too.

Sally Toye was competing not far from Bristol on Sunday, but out of sight and out of the rain, well for some of the race at least! The Two Tunnels Return Half is something a bit different, using two disused railway tunnels that have been reopened as cycle and walking paths. They go right under the town of Bath. Organised by Relish Running it’s certainly worth taking a look at the events they put on using these tunnels. There are lots of distances to choose from throughout the year. Congratulations to Sally for taking on the half marathon distance.
Finally, no photos (too rainy for these I expect) but three club members made the journey to Rotherwas in Herefordshire on Sunday to compete in race three of the Herefordshire and Borders Cross Country League. Captain Clive Richardson was first home closely followed by Emily Moseley and Warren Holdsworth. Well done team.
NEXT WEEKENED IS OUR FIRST CLUB RACE WHICH INCLUDES OUR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. SEE YOU AT BISHOPS CASTLE TRAIL 1OK.
